Description

The war memorial, built in 1923, is located in Yeoman Hill Park, Mansfield Woodhouse. It is constructed from ashlar and polished Cornish granite. The memorial features a square plinth with two steps and a coved and rebated square base. On the eastern side, there is a bronze tablet adorned with a wreath, along with a dedicatory inscription. The other sides display bronze plaques listing names. Above the plinth, a tapered shaft with a coved and rebated foot rises, featuring four crosses at the top. A bronze sword is positioned on the eastern side, with the inscriptions 'France ... Belgium ... Gallipoli ... Italy' on the four sides.
