Description
The boundary wall at Hardstaff Homes was built in 1914 for Miss Hardstaff. It is made of brick and features ramped, moulded ashlar coping. The wall includes six minor square piers with moulded square caps. There is a dwarf wall that supports a paling fence instead of a railing. A pair of larger piers marks a blocked central gateway, which has larger caps and ball finials. The wall is approximately 50 meters long. To the east, there is an adjoining boundary wall to Castle Street, constructed of coursed squared rubble with a plinth and half round coping, featuring four square piers with pyramidal caps. To the north, there is a pair of late 20th-century gates. This boundary wall is approximately 150 meters long and is included for its group value only.
