Description

Mitchell’s Farmhouse is probably from the early 19th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble with a roof of undulating plain clay tiles and simple gables. Brick chimney stacks are also present. The farmhouse is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays, with a later addition to the west. Most windows are timber casements with horizontal glazing bars, set beneath exposed timber lintols. A relocated part-glazed door sits within a plain opening in the second bay. A plain boarded door is set into a lean-to against the west gable. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
