Description
Charters is a house with origins dating back to the 17th century. It is constructed from local stone coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a plain clay tile roof with simple gables, along with stone and brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and four bays. It showcases ovolo-mould 2-light mullioned windows that include steel inserts with leaded lights, and hood moulds are present over the lower windows, likely indicating that only the lower windows in bays three and four are original. There is a 20th-century stone and tiled projecting porch with a plain boarded door located in bay two. Additionally, on the northwest gable, there is a low projection with a stone slate roof, which is probably an oven.
