Description

Bab Well is a water source and washing place with medieval origins that underwent building works in the late 19th century. It features red brickwork and a cement rendered roof. The water source is covered by a vaulted brick structure, which has a wooden door on the west side. Extending westward from this structure is a brick-lined trough that is approximately 4 metres long and 1 metre wide, with a cement rendered interior. This site was previously known as St Barbara's Well.
