Description

Chez Nous and the attached shop to the right are a house and shop dating from the early 19th century. The building features random rubble stonework, with the shop's first floor roughcast. It has a triple Roman tile roof with a coped verge on the left and three brick chimney stacks. The structure is two storeys high with three bays for the house and one bay for the shop. The windows are three-light casements, each with a horizontal glazing bar and set in cambered head reveals, with squared rubble voussoirs visible on Chez Nous. There is a central door opening into Chez Nous, which has a two-panelled door. The shop front to the right has a 19th-century design, featuring a nine-pane casement on each side of a three-quarter glazed door, with pilasters flanking both the door and the side casements, and an altered fascia board. To the left of Chez Nous, there is a single-storey outshut with a double Roman tile roof and a 19th-century sash window in a brick surround. The core of the building is likely older.
