Description

This early 19th-century building comprises two shops with attached houses. The walls are constructed from random rubble, with bitumenised slate roofs and three brick stacks. The two--storey elevation has a symmetrical arrangement of two bays per shop. The upper floors feature 12-pane sash windows with cambered head reveals and brick voussoirs. On the ground floor, a further 12-pane sash window is situated to the right of each shop, also with brick voussoirs. The shop to the left of Sedon has a nine-light shop window with flanking pilasters, a faciaboard, and a moulded cornice. The shop window to the left of The Sweet Cottage is a 20th-century single-pane design. Two door openings are present; a four-panelled door to the left and a two-panelled door to the right.
