The Old Farmhouse

The Old Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse located on the east side of Somerton Door Drove in Somerton. It is constructed from local lias stone and rendered with false ashlar lining, topped with a double Roman clay tile roof featuring plain gables and truncated brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It has hollow chamfered mullioned windows with unworked top mitres, featuring three lights in the outer bays and two lights in the upper bay of the second section, with a continuous label over the lower windows. There is a boarded door in a plain opening in the second bay. The interior has not been seen, and the house was no longer inhabited as of August 1984.
