Description

The Manse is a detached house dating from the earlier 19th century. It is constructed from roughly cut and squared local lias stone with a Welsh slate roof, featuring open side joints and plain gables. The house has brick end chimney stacks. It is two storeys high with three bays. The windows are 16-pane sashes on the upper floor and 4-pane sashes below, all set under timber lintels. A central glazed door is sheltered by an open, flat-roofed porch supported by cast iron columns and attached columns with non-classical bell capitals. A 20th-century extension has been added to the rear. The house forms a good group with Lomans and Maypole Knap House.
