Description
Home Farmhouse and attached outbuildings are a detached farmhouse and outbuildings, likely built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, featuring a thatched roof with gables and brick and stone chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high with four bays and irregular window arrangements, including a break forward after the second bay. The windows are small pane, 2-light casement types under stone lintels, except for the fourth bay which has a timber lintel. There is a boarded door in a plain opening in the second bay. To the west of the farmhouse, the thatch extends over an open wagon throughway and a barn building that has an upper window and a plain lower door, which also appears to be from the 18th century. Both buildings show signs of former window and door openings. The interior has not been seen. As of August 1984, this was one of the last working farms within the town.
