Description

ST4717 STOKE SUB HAMDON CP NORTH STREET (East side) 6/317 No.68 - GV II Small detached cottage ornee. Probably c1800. Ham stone ashlar front, cut and squared stone to sides and rear; hipped thatched roof; brick chimney stack. Single-storey, 2 bays. Hollow-chamfered mullioned windows of 3 lights in chamfered recesses, with labels, the lights rectangular - leaded and having 4-centre arched heads with incised spandrils; between bays a cambered- arched doorway with studded boarded door having glazed panel. Small lean-to extension on south side, behind gable wall, with matching door. In north wall a further 2-light window; a second lean-to extension at rear. Interior not seen.
