Description

North Street Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse. It is constructed of ham stone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof of a shallow pitch, featuring coped gables and rendered brick end chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the central bay projecting slightly. It has sash windows with 12 panes in plain surrounds. A wide, four-panel door is located in the lower bay with a stone surround incorporating Doric pilasters and a plain entablature with a floodmould, approached by three steps. A rear extension projects from the north-west corner. The interior has not been inspected. The farmhouse was likely built to replace a former house (now North Street Workshops) that had subsequently been converted into a barn.
