Description

No. 3 Market Street is a house with a shop that dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with Ham Hill stone, featuring rusticated quoins, a moulded eaves cornice, and voussoirs above the first-floor windows. The roof is shallow-pitched and covered with slate, having truncated brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. The first-floor windows are fitted with C20 two-light leaded casements that have flat gauged stone arches above them. The ground floor has a C20 shop front. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
