Description

No. 27 High Street is a house that has been converted into a house and shop, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and has a slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and is two storeys high. The front features a three-window range of casements, some of which have glazing bars, all set beneath wooden lintels. To the left, there is a 20th-century shop window and a 19th-century plank door leading to an external through-passage. Brick stacks are located at both ends of the building. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have ceiling beams. This property is included for its group value.
