Description

No. 38 High Street is a house that has been converted into a house and shop, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a stucco facade and features a slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high. The main front has a two-window range, with sash windows that have glazing bars and moulded stucco surrounds on the first floor, while the ground floor features a 20th-century shop window. There are brick stacks at both ends of the building. Inside the shop, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer and cross beams. This property is included for its group value.
