Description

Number 3b and an attached shop, dating from the early 18th century, are now a house and shop. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone and has an asbestos tile roof. Originally planned with a cross passage and three units, it now has a 3-window front. The windows are horizontal sliding sash windows, some with glazing bars, and are set under wooden lintels. A 20th-century door, also under a wooden lintel, is located to the left of centre and has a shallow buttress to its right. A 20th-century shop front is present to the far right. The roof slopes to the left, with brick stacks at the ridge. The interior, which was not inspected, is noted to have the remains of two open fireplaces with bressumers and ceiling beams. The building was formerly the White Horse Inn.
