Description

This is a house, likely dating from the 16th century, which was remodelled in the 18th and 20th centuries. It is now used as offices. The exterior is limestone with a plain tile roof. Originally designed with a 2-unit plan, the building is two storeys high and has a three-window front. The first floor has 20th-century casement windows with wooden lintels. The ground floor was refenestrated in the 20th century, featuring two bow windows and a door on the right side. The right gable has an ashlar parapet with kneelers and a square gabled finial. A rebuilt brick stack is on the right side, retaining its original stone base. Inside, the entrance hall contains an open fireplace with an elaborately carved bressumer depicting birds interwoven with leaves. A moulded beam with a castellated top is above the fireplace. A room on the far left also has a moulded beam. The building is listed for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding properties.
