Description

No. 6 Market Square is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a plain tile roof added in the 20th century. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a five-window range. The central entrance consists of a panelled door situated beneath a flat rendered arch. The windows, which are 19th-century sash types, are also located under flat rendered arches. A chamfered plinth adds to the architectural detail, while three 20th-century roof dormers and a rendered stack at one end complete the exterior. The interior has not been inspected.
