Description

ST4916 MONTACUTE CP MIDDLE STREET (South side) 8/163 Unidentified monument in churchyard, about 8 metres south of chancel, Church of St. Catherine - GV II Chest tomb. C18. Ham stone. Moulded plinth; panelled sides with semi- circular arched keystoned panels with imposts, 2 each flank and one each end, no pilasters or frieze; cyma-recta coving to heavy hipped top. Commemorates Elizabeth wife of Thomas Ne-, died 1729: remaining inscriptions ivy-covered.
