Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard, about 12 metres south-south-east of the tower of the Church of St. Catherine. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth and simple panels, with one panel on each side and two on the flanks, but it lacks a frieze. The top is hipped with moulded coving and rounded leading edges. The inscription is badly worn, but the death date is thought to be 1729.
