Description
Nos. 46, 47, and 48 are a row of three cottages built in the 19th century. They are constructed from cut and squared Ham stone with ashlar dressings and feature double Roman clay tiles on the roof, which has a coped north gable and an abutment to the south. The cottages are two storeys high with attics and consist of five bays in total. The windows are hollow-chamfered mullioned types set in chamfered recesses, with two-light windows above and three-light windows below, all rectangular-leaded and equipped with iron-framed opening lights. The lower bays two and three have boarded doors in chamfered cambered-arched doorways, each accessed by two steps. The entrance to No. 46 is located in the north gable, which also has matching windows and a doorway. The interiors have not been seen. These cottages are included in the listing for their contribution to the streetscape and the view towards the Church of St. Catherine.
