Description
Abbey Gate is a detached house, likely built in the 19th century. It is constructed from near-ashlar ham stone and features triple-roll clay tiles on stepped coped gables, with a gabletted finial at the north end. A brick chimney stack sits on a stone base at the south end. The house has two storeys and two bays. The windows are chamfer mullioned and set in chamfered recesses under labels, with a 3-light window in bay 1 and a 2-light window in bay 2. The upper windows have rectangular leaded glass, and between the bays is a chamfered plain doorway with a label, which has a part-glazed door. The interior has not been seen.
