Description

This is a row of three cottages located in Middle Street, North Perrott, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of roughly cut and squared ham stone, with double Roman clay tiled roofs behind stepped coped gables. Brick chimney stacks rise above the roofline. Each cottage has two storeys and two bays. On the ground floor, the windows are casements set within flat-arched openings with stone voussoired surrounds. The windows of No. 48 are no longer leaded. The first floor windows are three-light rectangular-leaded casements, with iron frames and opening lights, beneath timber lintels. Doorways are situated between the bays of each house, and feature boarded doors within heavy frames. A timber and tiled open porch is present at No. 49.
