Description

The North Perrott War Memorial is a First World War memorial, erected around 1920. It is carved from local limestone and stands on an octagonal platform. The memorial features a Latin cross with an octagonal shaft and base, which is set atop a two-stage octagonal pedestal. The east face of the upper section of the pedestal, known as the dado, includes a recessed rectangular panel with the inscription ‘IN REMEMBRANCE’ carved in relief. On either side of this panel, on the south-east and north-east faces of the dado, are smaller recessed panels that display the years ‘1914’ and ‘1918’, also carved in relief.
