Description

This is a row of three cottages located on Bampton Street in Minehead, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The cottages are roughcast over cob or rubblestone, with concrete tile roofs on Nos. 15 and 17 to the left, and a pantile roof on No. 19 to the right. They feature brick stacks at the party walls and the left gable end. Each cottage has a single-depth, two-room layout with rear service outshuts and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range at eaves level.

No. 15 has 20th-century windows and a central door. No. 17 features 20th-century two-light casement windows on the first floor and an early 19th-century central six-panel door, which is flanked by moulded architraves and leads to Tudor-style shop windows from around 1860, consisting of four lights with semicircular heads. No. 19 has a 19th-century planked door to the right, with 19th-century two and three-light casement windows on the first floor and 20th-century leaded lights on two taller 19th-century three-light windows on the ground floor. The interiors were not inspected.
