Description
57 and 59 Quay Street are two cottages built in the early 19th century. They feature painted render over rubblestone and have a continuous plain tile roof. There is a painted brick stack at the rear of No. 57 and on the right gable end of No. 59. The cottages have a double-depth plan and are two storeys high, each with a two-window range.
No. 57 has a left-of-centre 20th-century planked door beneath an early 19th-century hood supported by 20th-century shaped brackets. It has three-light casement windows, likely from the 19th century, with small panes and the central leaf hinged at the top. No. 59 features a door on the right side and has late 19th-century and 20th-century two- and three-light casement windows. The interiors have not been inspected.
