Description

A row of three cottages dating from the early 19th century, located in Litton Cheney village. The cottages are constructed of rubble stone with a thatched roof; the left-hand gable is half-hipped. Brick stacks are situated at the ridge, slightly left of centre, and at the right-hand gable.

The cottages are two storeys high with a total of five windows. The windows are two-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, dating from the early 19th century. Segmental brick arches over the ground floor windows and doors are also from the 19th century. Wooden cills are present. The front doors are plank doors; the door to No. 1 is to the left of centre and is of 20th-century origin, while the doors to Nos. 2 and 3, located centrally and to the left-hand side respectively, are 19th century. The upper-floor windows of No. 3 have been replaced with wooden windows.
