Description

Malter's Cottages is a row of cottages dating from the early 19th century, with a 20th-century interior. The cottages have rubble stone walls, a slate roof on the left side, and a thatched roof on the right, which is half-hipped at the end. There is a brick chimney stack on the left side and a stone stack on the left gable of the thatched section. The building has two storeys, featuring one window on the right and three windows on the left. Most of the windows are wooden casements with glazing bars, dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. The three-light cast-iron casements on the left side of the ground floor have been re-set. The ground floor windows are topped with segmental brick arches. A plank door is located in the slate-roofed section, to the right of centre. The 20th-century rear wing is not included in the listing.
