Description

The Trent monument is a chest tomb located about 21 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Catherine. It dates from the 18th century and is made of Ham stone. The base is buried, and each face features one fielded panel with no frieze. The tomb has a deep moulded coving on its hipped top, which has rounded leading edges. It commemorates Sarah, the wife of Samuel Trent, who died on February 17.
