Description
The Trent monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 2 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary Major. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of Ham stone. The monument features a step base and a moulded plinth, with fielded panels on the sides that have reverse sweep corners, displaying two panels on each flank without pilasters. The shallow hipped top is adorned with moulded coving and rounded leading edges. This tomb commemorates Joseph Trent, who died in 1803, and his daughter, who died in 1788.
