Description
Lloyds Bank and National Westminster Bank is a corner building located in the Market Place, dating from the early 19th century. It is likely constructed of stone but is currently roughcast and colourwashed. The building features a hipped roof covered with plain clay tiles and has brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high with two bays. The windows are sash style in plain openings, with 16 panes above and 24 panes below, although the glazing bars have been removed from the lower section of the second bay window. Between the bays, there is a six-flush-panel door with a plain surround, and small fascia boards are positioned above both lower windows. The side elevation facing Church Street has two bays, featuring 20th-century casement windows below, a horizontal-sliding small-pane sash window in the upper bay, and a small hanging sign in the second upper bay. The interiors have not been seen.
