Description
This cottage, located 25 metres north of Hadspen House, is likely a reshaping from around 1830. It is constructed from roughly squared and coursed Cary stone and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with stone end chimney stacks. The building has an "L"-plan layout, is two storeys high, and consists of three bays, with a small single-storey extension on the south gable. The east front includes 12-pane sash windows set in plain openings, a central boarded door, and a rustic timber porch. There are also some leaded casement windows, possibly from the 18th century, in the rear extension. The interior has not been seen. This cottage is part of an important estate that is mostly from the 18th century.
