Description
Grove Farm House is a farmhouse with origins dating back to the 17th century. It is constructed from roughly squared Cary stone and features a thatched roof with coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys with attics and consists of six bays. The first bay appears to be an extension and includes an early plain boarded door. The remaining bays have a mix of two and three-light casement windows, some of which have metal opening lights and one with a casement stay. There is a part-glazed door from the 20th century in bay four, and most openings are topped with exposed timber lintels. A Welsh slate-roofed verandah runs along most of the front. Notably, in bay three, there is an early leaded light single casement window set into the thatch, beneath which is a Sun fire insurance plaque. The interior has not been seen.
