Description
Gentles Farmhouse is a detached cottage built in the early 19th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. The structure features ham stone that is cut and squared, with coursed rubble on the sides and rear, and ashlar dressings. It has a Welsh slate roof with a shallow pitch, accented by stepped coped gables and one stone-slab and one brick chimney stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays with chamfer-mullioned windows set in chamfered recesses; the outer bays have three-light windows, while the upper centre has a two-light window, all with labels above. The lower bay two includes a chamfered cambered-arched doorway with a four-panel door, which is topped by a moulded flat stone hood supported by console brackets. Additionally, there is a three-bay single-storey extension on the east gable, built in the mid-20th century, along with a further extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
