Description

South Ham Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse with origins dating back to the 17th century, modified in the 18th century and later. It is constructed from local lias stone that is roughly cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings, and features a hipped thatched roof and brick chimney stacks. The building has an "L" plan and consists of two storeys with four bays.

The north elevation displays leaded timber casement windows beneath timber lintels, mostly arranged as three-light windows. The lower bay features a late 20th-century door, which is protected by timber, glass, and a thatched porch that was under construction in October 1984. On the east return, there is a hollow-chamfered mullioned window with two lights set in a chamfered recess, topped with a square label. Above this, there is an 18th-century mullioned window with a beaded surround and hood mould, along with additional leaded casements. The interior has not been seen.
