Description
Woolmington Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century and later. It is constructed of local stone that has been rendered and colorwashed, with some ashlar dressings. The roof is thatched with plain gables and features brick chimney stacks. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and is two storeys high, comprising two bays with a two-bay return to the north.
In bay 1, there is a pair of margined French doors from the 19th century set under a timber lintel and stone label. Above these doors is a 3-light 18th-century leaded casement window with an iron-framed opening light. Bay 2 features a similar 4-light window above and a 4-light ovolo-mould timber framed window with a label underneath. Between the two bays, there is a boarded door set in rustic timber, leading to a thatched open porch. The return wing has 3-light rectangular leaded casement windows on both levels, with iron-framed opening lights, and the upper windows have added segmental toplights with 'Y'-tracery glazing bars. There is also a lean-to against the north gable of the extension wing. The interior has not been seen.
