Description
The former wagon house, located 20 meters south-west of Bramble Cottage, is a 20th-century structure made from random Hamstone rubble for its side walls and features a hipped roof thatched with combed wheat reed. The building has a rectangular plan divided into four bays.
On the exterior, the north and south side elevations do not have any openings. The west elevation, which was originally open-ended, was infilled in the late 20th century. This infill includes a stone rubble wall at the lower part and timber cladding above. The ground floor features a plain door and a casement window, along with two additional windows on the upper floor. The east end has also been infilled, resembling the west elevation, with a pair of garage doors and a single doorway at ground level, plus two casement windows above.
Inside, a first floor has been added throughout the building, accessed by a modern stair. The roof consists of pegged tie beam trusses with angled struts and a single tier of staggered purlins.
