Description

Ye Olde Well Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble and features a thatched roof with plain gables and brick end chimney stacks. The cottage stands two storeys high and has three bays. On the upper level, there are two-light horizontal-bar casement windows of an early pattern, which include iron-framed opening lights. The lower level has small-pane casement windows, also two-light, under timber lintels in the outer bays. The central bay features a red brick and thatched porch with a 20th-century boarded outer door. There is a small timber and brick lean-to with a double Roman clay tiled roof against the east gable. The interior has not been seen.
