Description
Twinney Bridge is a road bridge over a stream, built in 1834. It was designed by Richard Carver, the County Architect and Surveyor, and constructed by R. Mears. The bridge is made of cut and squared Lias stone with Ham stone dressings. It features a stilted semi-circular arch with a span of 3 meters, made of ashlar voussoirs and a vermiculated keystone. There is a band course at road level and a shallow flat-topped parapet with plain chunky coping, along with square piers at each corner. This bridge, along with Cocks Bridge, was built for a cost of 375 pounds sterling.
