Description
Orchard Cottage is a detached cottage dating from around 1800. It is built of cut and squared ham stone with ashlar dressings and features a thatched roof between coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks. The cottage has two storeys and two wide bays. The windows are horizontal-bar casements with narrow lights, consisting of a 4-light window below and a 2-light window above, the latter topped with small coped gables that have ball finials. Between the bays, there is an open stone porch that matches the cottage, featuring an obelisk finial on the coped gable, a flat outer arch, and a boarded part-glazed door set in a heavy frame. Attached to the west gable is a single-storey extension with a thatched roof and a 3-light leaded casement window. The interior has not been seen.
