Description
Thatchway House is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century, with modifications made in the 20th century. The building is constructed from roughly cut and squared Ham stone, featuring ashlar dressings, and has a thatched roof with plain gables and stone rubble chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are volo-mould mullioned, with a two-light window above and a three-light window below, both rectangular leaded and adorned with hoodmoulds and labels. Between the bays, there is a 20th-century stone and thatched porch that has a panelled outer door and a weatherboarded gable. A three-light leaded casement window is located on the north gable, while a 20th-century casement window is found on the south gable. There is also a 20th-century extension at the rear, on the south-east corner. The interior has not been seen.
