Description
Rose Cottage is a detached cottage, originally a pair, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from cut and squared ham stone with ashlar dressings and features a thatched roof with stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks at each end. The cottage has two storeys and consists of two bays. The windows are slightly chamfered mullioned windows with two lights, lacking labels, and have horizontal glazing bars along with iron-framed opening lights. Between the bays, there are two boarded doors set in deep plain recesses. There is a lean-to structure against the south gable, which has a clay pantiled roof. The interior has not been seen.
