Description
This pair of cottages, located at the northwest corner of the junction of Great Street and New Road, dates from the early 19th century. They are constructed from roughly cut and squared Ham stone, with ashlar dressings, and feature a double Roman clay tiled roof with plain overhung gables and a central stone chimney stack. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of two bays. The windows are chamfer-mullioned, set in chamfered recesses without labels, and are three-light with rectangular leaded panes and central iron-framed opening lights. Each gable has an entrance door in a plain recess, with small-pane casements on the first floors. There are lean-to extensions at the rear. The interiors have not been seen.
