Description

The Coach House, also known as The Old Coach House, is a former coach house to the Manor House, now serving as a house. It was built in the later 18th century and is constructed from Ham stone ashlar with a hipped Welsh slate roof behind a parapet. The building is single-storey with an attic and features eight bays, with bays four and five slightly projecting with gables.

Bays one, two, seven, and eight have semi-circular arched windows with simple architraves and timber casements. Bays three and six contain semi-circular arched doorways; the doorway in bay three has been converted into a window, while the doorway in bay six features a 20th-century six-panelled door with a radial glazed fanlight. Bays four and five originally had wide elliptical arches with keystones and impost blocks, which have now been filled with ashlar work and two quasi-Venetian windows. Above the gable, there is an oval lunette that is plain glazed, and the gable and parapet have very thin mouldings, with the gable topped by a ball finial. The interior has not been seen.
