Description

Cowmans Cottage is a detached cottage, probably dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from cut and squared Ham stone and features a thatched roof with stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks at each end. The cottage is two storeys high with a three-bay south elevation. It has casement windows with three lights, most of which have horizontal bars, while the upper bay contains three rectangular leaded windows. There is a door set in a deep recess in the lower bay of the second section. On the east gable, there are two-light casement windows and a doorway in a deep recess, along with additional casement windows. The north side includes a brick lean-to with a double Roman clay tiled roof. The interior has not been seen.
