Description
Horsepond Cottage is a detached cottage, probably dating from the 18th century. It features ham stone that is cut and squared on the facade, with rubble on the sides and rear elevations. The roof is double Roman clay tiles set between high stepped coped gables, which suggest it may have originally been thatched. There are brick chimney stacks at each end. The cottage is two storeys high with attics and has a two-bay south elevation. It includes plain mullioned windows with three lights, rectangular leaded panes, and iron-framed opening lights. Between the bays, there is a boarded door that is enclosed by a timber and glass lean-to conservatory. A small attic light is present on the west gable, while the north side features 20th-century leaded casements. The interior has not been seen.
