Description
Brook Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings. The roof is covered with double Roman clay tiles and features verge overhangs at the gables, along with brick chimney stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and three bays.
The windows are ovolo-moulded with mullions and unworked top mitres, consisting of three lights with square labels, except for the upper bay which has one window that is hollow-chamfer moulded. All window lights have leaded panes and central iron opening lights with external wrought stays. To the left of the lower bay one, there is a 20th-century casement window under a timber lintel. In the lower bay two, there is a boarded door set in a heavy frame, also under a timber lintel. The interior has not been seen.
