Description

North Ham Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with modifications from the 18th century. It is constructed from local lias and Ham stone, which is cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings. The building features a thatched roof with plain gables and brick chimney stacks.

The farmhouse has two storeys, with the upper storey being a later addition, and consists of four bays. The windows are hollow chamfered mullioned types set in chamfered recesses, each with square labels. The rectangular leaded lights include some iron-framed opening casements, with three-light windows in bays one and four, and a four-light window in bay three. Above, there are three-light leaded lights with a central iron opening light in each. In the lower bay two, there is a 20th-century boarded door in a modern frame, set beneath a deep stone lintel with a square label. Raking buttresses are positioned on either side of bay one.

To the north, there is a continuation under the thatched roof that houses farm units, along with a 20th-century extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
