Description

11 and 13 High Street are two cottages dating from the 17th century. They are constructed of colourwashed rubble and feature pantile roofs with three brick ridge stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and have a symmetrical arrangement of two bays on each side, predominantly featuring three-light casement windows. Number 11 has two cast-iron three-light casements, one of which is located on the first floor and has leaded lights. Additionally, Number 11 includes a 20th-century two-light casement on the first floor and a ground floor 12-pane sash window with four-pane side-lights. Each cottage has a central door opening with plank doors that include glazed panels. The interior of Number 11 contains a bacon curing chamber and has a ceiling with moulded beams.
