Description

A pair of cottages, likely originally a single house, dating to around the 17th century or earlier. The cottages are constructed of roughcast stone rubble and have an asbestos slate roof with gabled ends. They are two storeys high with a long six-window front. The windows are small 19th and 20th century casements with glazing bars. Number 2, at the left-hand lower end, has a 20th-century plank door. Number 1 has a 20th-century door in the gable end. Rendered stacks are located at the ridge and gable end. The interior of Number 2 has been inspected and features a jointed cruck truss, a stopped-chamfered ceiling beam with run-out stops, and a fireplace bressummer.
